National Training Network (KUHR-TN)

Overview

PERFORM-KUH participates in the national community of NIDDK-supported KUH U2C-TL1 training programs. This network provides opportunities for trainees and program leaders to learn from peer programs, share best practices, present research, develop professional networks, and contribute to national training conversations.

Opportunities for trainees

Trainees are encouraged to participate in the annual KUHR-TN national meeting. Participation provides access to:

  • Scientific presentations by trainees from other KUH training programs.
  • Professional development programming.
  • Networking with peers and faculty across the national KUH training community.
  • Discussions of mentoring, grant writing, training methods, career development, and program evaluation.

Opportunities for program leadership and mentors

Program leaders and mentors use the national network to exchange ideas about education methods, outcome measurement, mentorship and sponsorship, recruitment, program evaluation, and innovation in KUH research training.
